Soccer as a Tool for Life Skills
At NBT Soccer, we intentionally integrate social and emotional learning (SEL) into our programs because the skills learned on the field – teamwork, decision making, self-management, communication, and responsibility – are life skills that help young people succeed both in sport and in life.
Our approach creates a safe, supportive environment where players:
Build confidence and self awareness
Learn how to manage challenges
Strengthen relationships with peers and coaches
Practice responsible decision making
Soccer brings us all together – families, schools, businesses, and neighbors. Our community is the foundation of NBT Soccer, and we are grateful for the support we receive from local partners.
We actively participate in and host events that extend the reach of our mission, including:
Free community soccer clinics
Town and school events like the Franklinton Christmas Parade
Local outreach initiatives and partnerships
Adult Open Play sessions
These programs aren’t just about soccer – they’re about creating spaces where people connect, grow, and support one another.
